The Tianjin Bridgestone Women Volleyball team is one of the most successful professional volleyball clubs in the Chinese Volleyball League, based in the city of Tianjin, China.
Founded in 1993, the team has become a symbolic image of Tianjin Sports. For many years, Tianjin Bridgestone have not been regarded as having the advantages in height and strength. However, depending on ironic discipline and arduous training,Tianjin Bridgestone gradually dominated Chinese women volleyball with their unique style of swift tactics and concrete defence. During 2002 to 2011, Tianjin Bridgestone have achieved eight titles in Chinese Volleyball League, two titles in Chinese National Games and three titles in AVC Club Championships.
As one of the best women volleyball clubs in China, Tianjin Bridgestone have been contributing many excellent players to China women's national volleyball team. As the members of "Golden Generation", Li Shan, Zhang Ping and Zhang Na played the key role for China's eventual wining the Gold Medal in 2004 Athens Olympics. In 2008 Beijing Olympics, Li Juan, Wei Qiuyue and Zhang Na assisted China women volleyball team to gain the bronze medal. In addition, Tianjin players Yin Na, Wang Qian, Chen Liyi and Mi Yang have been called up to the national team as well.
